Our online course is specifically designed to certify and train students who are relocating to Texas as well as those who currently reside in the State and should be 16 years of age.
ONLINE COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER COURSE OVERVIEW
This 160 hour competency- based online training is designed to be completed within 15
weeks. During this time students will complete 40 hours of Practicum at an approved
Organization to practice learned skills. During this program you will complete a series of 5
online learning modules and attend a community health internship.

MAKING THE DECISION
As a frontline agent of change you will help to reduce health disparities in underserved communities. CHW are employed by hospitals, doctor offices, community health organizations (wic, planned parenthood, etc..) to provide health education, Medicaid enrollment and preventive care services in the field. CHW’s earn an hourly pay of $16- 33 per hour.
GET CERTIFIED
Due to COVID-19 there is an acute global shortage of healthcare workers and CHW is in high demand. Our program is open to any Healthcare staff member who wants to take it, including supervisors, nurses and social workers, trainers, and managers.
Registration for this class begins the 15th of every month and is held through the last day of the month. A new class begins the First Monday of every month
