The TCAH Pilot Program 2026 represents the first-ever virtual CTE Pharmacy Technician program offered by Texas Connections Academy in partnership with LW Pharmacy Technician School.
100% PTCB Exam Pass Rate:
100% pass rate on the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam.
29 Students Enrolled:
24 completed and passed, 21 completed 40-hour externships, and 29 TSBP licenses were received.
40-Hour Hands-On Externship:
Real-world experience completed at CVS and local community pharmacies.
100% Simulated Pharmacy Labs:
Full completion of MyDispense simulated online pharmacy modules.
Job Placement Success:
7 students hired and working as pharmacy technicians directly from the program.
Program Eligibility & Success Profile
To qualify for one of the 60 available seats in the upcoming cohort, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Eligibility Requirements
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Graduate high school within two years or less.
- Have no criminal background.
- Be able to pass a standard drug screening.

Wednesdays at 6:00 PM.

Due Saturdays by 11:59 PM (Passing score: 80% or higher, up to 3 attempts allowed).

Week 9 intensive simulation.
CVS Pharmacy Externship
40-hour hands-on experience (Optional — excellent boost for college/career resumes).

TWC WIOA Youth Program Scholarship (Ages 16–24)
- Federal workforce program through Texas Workforce Commission for low-income youth or young adults facing barriers (e.g., SNAP/TANF, parenting).
- 3-Step Process: (1) Email initial inquiry to S.bradford@LWPschool.com $\rightarrow$ (2) Meet with Case Manager to verify ID, income, and school status $\rightarrow$ (3) Select LW on the ETPL and request an Individual Training Account (ITA) voucher.
